Guide Me is Stepwright's interactive playback mode. Instead of reading a guide beside the application, the person follows it inside the application: each step highlights the real control on the real page while they perform the action themselves. Browser processes play in the Stepwright extension; desktop recordings open in the Windows client.

From a guide in the Stepwright web app, start Guide Me. If the process runs in the browser, the Stepwright extension takes over in a side panel; if it was recorded on the desktop, it opens in the Windows client instead.

Rather than assuming you are already in the right place, Guide Me works out the page the first step belongs on and takes you there — reusing the tab you are on if it is already correct.

Each step highlights the actual control you need on the real page, with the written instruction alongside it. You are working in your own account and your own data, not clicking through a simulation.

Guide Me follows the language you are reading the app in, so the walkthrough appears in the same language as the guide rather than defaulting to your browser's setting.
The step sits next to the control it refers to, so nobody has to keep a PDF open on one monitor and the real application on the other.
Highlighting the actual element on the actual page settles the ambiguity that written instructions and cropped screenshots leave behind.

For guides recorded in the browser, yes — Guide Me plays in the Stepwright extension's side panel, so it needs to be installed and signed in. Guides recorded on the desktop open in the Windows client instead and do not need the extension.
No. It shows you which control to use and what to do, and you perform the action yourself. That is intentional — you are working in your own live account, and the point is that the person following the guide learns the process rather than watching it happen.
For guides recorded in the browser, yes — the Stepwright extension runs on Mac. Guides recorded on the desktop hand off to the Windows client, which is Windows only today.
Guide Me locates each step's control on the live page, so small layout changes are usually tolerated. If a page has changed substantially, update the guide — it takes about as long as performing the process once.
